From day one, I set clear daily goals and acknowledged the challenges that lay ahead. My primary objective was to maintain unwavering focus throughout the day, punctuated by well-timed breaks to combat distractions. As a newcomer to the coding world, I grappled with uncertainty regarding the time required to complete each lesson. Surprisingly, I found myself deeply immersed in the learning process, quickly gaining proficiency. I delved into the intricacies of the command line, mastering the art of manipulating files and applications. It was during this initial phase that I grasped the distinction between ‘git’ and ‘GitHub.’ ‘Git’ became my toolkit for weaving code like a seasoned magician, while ‘GitHub’ served as a collaborative sanctuary where histories converged.

Reflection and Reinforcement:

I continued my sprint, maintaining my focus and taking time to reflect on the prior day’s lessons. I successfully completed all the technical tasks, including branching, pulling, and merging using ‘git.’ I also ventured into the world of repository management, learning how to fork and clone repositories to my own GitHub account. I continued reinforcing my skills, aiming to finish the Identity, Values, and Strengths exercise while also being a little more social in the Discord channels. Despite facing mental and physical fatigue, I persevered and achieved my goals for the week. The command line, forking, cloning, and ‘git’ commands became second nature, confirming my progress and deepening my coding proficiency.
